Psychology is the study of the age related changes which occur in the class of the lifespan. The focus of the field has expanded to include changes over the life span from conception to death Though early theorists were concerned with children. Psychologists study domains of development, including cognitive, psychological, physical, moral, personality and social change. All of them influence even though these domains could be seen as separate and are influenced by each other. Developmental psychologists therefore investigate ways wherein these regions of development interact, leading to more complicated patterns of change. Psychologists seek to describe the qualitative and qualitative changes which happen as humans age and grow, but to explain the mechanisms.
